As a son of Dell, Aston is already demonstrating many of his sire's qualities in his working attitude but has a the benefit of more flair.
Aston made a very bright start to working tests and novice trials in 2015; including finishing 2nd in his first novice trial at Southern & Western Counties in December 2015 and then 2nd in the Essex Novice Stake at Ampton on the 12th.
A very promising young lad with whom we look forward to 2016; as he started the year with a convincing win at the
Chiltern Novice Stake at Beckering, in January 2016. where the secretary stated:

"As for the winner - what a performance! Five retrieves - all spotlessly clean, including two runners and
eye-wiping four dogs. Lovely dog to watch."
Aston had his first 2016 run at Lothian and Borders 2 Day Stake in September where he gained a very commendable COM after two hard days trialling. He then went on to receive a further COM at the Scottish Field Trials Association 2 day stake at Bowhill in October where the ground was exceptionally gruelling and he coped brilliantly competing against a very strong field of Field Trial Champions.
Aston is growing in confidence with each run; finishing a very good 4th at the Dove Valley October Open stake at the end of October then
in November he won North West LRC Open Trial at Hy-Fly during which he performed a stunning retrieve on a running partridge.
This qualified Aston for the 2016 I.G.L. Retriever Championship where he did very well but sadly was not in the awards this time.

During the 2017 season Aston unfortunately do not get many trial runs but secured a Certificate of Merit when running at North of Scotland Gundog Association's two day open trial.
